another exercise in restraint. an arm, perhaps in prayer or salute, stripped of most of it’s arm-ness. no fingers, some palm, hint of a bicep, hint of a head. a body’s motion indicated by a beam of light on a forearm. like many paintings in this series, i’m searching for familiarity within very little information. the more i strip a figure the more it opens. in openness there is potential.
